I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Clear Career Progression including pay rise's - Lots of supporting sales functions to make your role as stress free as possible - Managing Director for AHP is amazingly supportive and gets so involved - Training and support always offered - Uncapped commission, with a huge window to earn extra money/attend trips with quarterly and yearly incentives - Realistic KPIs

    Cons

Recruitment can be stressful, i think everyone in the industry would agree that you need to put in what you want to get out. Pulse give everyone the tools to be able to thrive in a buzzy, fast paced, stressful environment should they be willing to put the work in. Pulse will do what they can to support you and relieve any stress where possible.

I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I love working for such a well established and well respected Nursing agency. Happy 20th Birthday Pulse! A diverse workforce with a successful formula across the years of recruiting both home-grown as well as overseas talent to support the continued growth and success of the company. I am particularly impressed with the investment that the company have put into a 12 week on boarding programme, which all new joiners...

Sometimes you can’t get a game on the table tennis table in the courtyard garden at lunchtime!

    Advice to Management

Continue to nurture and develop your staff, most will respond well to this and become successful. Don’t be disheartened by the odd negative review on Glassdoor, recruitment is not the job for everyone.

I worked at Pulse (UK) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working alongside some of the most knowledgeable people in the market, company has a great reputation, good office location, some great employee benefits and decent career progression opportunities. A lot of training and support is provided.

    Cons

Management is not consistent at times and promotions are given unnecessarily to people who have not proven themselves capable. There is a lot of pressure to achieve KPI numbers which are the same across the division regardless of the fact that there are many different team settings and varied roles with varied workloads, some of which do not allow for 2 hours on the phone daily

    Advice to Management

Assess teams individually and restructure targets based on each business. Offer more positive enforcement down through management levels rather than being so focused on numbers

I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time

    Pros

Some genuinely nice people, free drinks, opportunity to make a decent amount of money if in the right area of the company. Aspects of the on boarding were really useful and allowed you to meet more people which was especially helpful when you are new.

    Cons

Where to start ! When I first started I thought i had struck Gold everything seemed so perfect but it wasnt long before I started to see past facade. As I said there are some genuinely nice people there but there is ALOT of two faced behavior going on. People in upper management will be ever so nice to you in and around the office as they build up a case against you for your dismissal. High turnover and considering...

    Advice to Management

Actually LISTEN to people otherwise you will end up losing some of your best employees. Theres a culture of people being afraid to really speak their minds as we have all seen how you quickly force those you dont want out.
