Pros

I had the pleasure of working with a talented group of colleagues at this job. The majority of the team was incredibly supportive and helpful, which made my time there somewhat bearable.

Cons

The leadership at this company is inadequate and needs improvement. The prevailing culture appears to be one of gaslighting, misdirection, and constant fire drills, with little direction provided to employees. Criticism is often delivered in group settings, which can be belittling and demotivating. Unfortunately, there is no HR department to address employees' concerns or grievances. Furthermore, the health benefits are below average, and there has been a high turnover rate, with at least four people leaving during my short tenure. Additionally, the existence of undisclosed "silent" partners raises concerns about transparency and trust within the company. Lastly, it is unclear how the company is "purpose-driven," as most of the clients I saw are not doing anything out of the ordinary that sets them apart from other companies. Based on my experience, I am doubtful of the positive reviews posted online, as they may have been written by the company itself rather than by actual employees.

Do you want to be gaslit? Never have clear direction, then yelled at about it? Work nights, weekends and holidays, even seeing your slack notifications going off at 10pm? Maybe you even like to be occasionally disrespected and belittled and felt as if you’re not as smart as management/the partners? They have a hard time retaining talent & clients. The pay is way below industry standards, they’re unorganized and the longest employee there has been employed for only 2 years, the others are space fillers/contractors to make the company look diverse—trust the negative reviews. None of Purpose Brands employees are happy and no one actually stays long. This is a job you take as you’re looking for another job. This place will motivate you to go on more interviews and apply for more companies than ever before. Some people quit with nothing lined up —this place is THAT stressful.

None, but Glassdoor said I need to write a five word minimum.

Cons

This place will take years off of your life. I agree with the other reviewer who wrote about being gaslit. I went in confident of my skills and left feeling defeated. At heart, the senior staff (principals) are nice people, but they are clueless about public relations. They expect you to work miracles even when it’s impossible (b/c they don’t undergo business), and then threaten you with your job if you can’t pull it off. Only go if you need to keep a roof over your head.
