Pros

the pay is above average but that will all come with a price. i dont got any other pros really. paycheck every week (if you get it)

Cons

you will almost essentially be forced without choice to cover shifts. what i mean is youll be at work 9am-5pm. the 5pm wont show. so you have to cover that next shift. the captains and all will lie to you about how their working on it but no one really shows, i worked nearly 18 hours straight multiple times because of this. also you need your own firearms and holster, they wont issue it to you. did i mention a uniform deposit youll never receive back because it “wasnt dry cleaned?” THEY PAY WITH PHYSICAL CHECKS LMAO. no direct deposit. you have to go physically pick it up like its the 90’s and thats IF your check is their on time. i can go on and on. this company is so backwards and out of touch with reality. avoid at all costs unless your TRULY desperate.

A terrible, dishonest company

Pros

Easy job, requires very little training.

Cons

This is a very dishonest company that is run by very immature people. This is a very poorly run company. The owner of this company treated me like garbage. I worked full time for this company in 2016, and I performed my job perfectly, with excellent customer service, and I was always very professional and on time. When I was hired by this company, I was told in writing on my employment contract, that I would be paid $10.50 per hour. I did not realize until one week after I finished working for the company, that I had only been paid $10.00 per hour for the entire time that I had been working there. I asked one of the leading "captains" about it, and showed him my contract. He made a copy of my contract and contacted the head owner of the company. The head of the company told the captain, to tell me to call him, so I did. The owner never answered any of my calls, nor did he ever return any of my messages over the course of a few weeks. And I called nearly 15 times. Then I texted him the owner, to see if he would return a text message. The owner then texted me back immediately, and insulted me very rudely, and then told me that I was not going to be paid any back pay, and that I was only going to be paid what I had already been paid. I was afraid about that happening, and my fears came true. When I initially interviewed for the job, the owner of the company was very nice to me. But after I left the company for a good-paying federal job, he treated me like absolute garbage, and refused to pay me what he owed me. If I want to obtain that money that is owed to me, I have no other option, other than to sue that man in court. My contract clearly stated that I was going to be paid $10.50 an hour, not $10.00 an hour, so I would easily win my case in court. However, I have a very good paying federal job now, and it is not worth my time to take that man to court. But that incident will give you an idea about what this company is like. I am a former combat veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, and I am very surprised that that is how this company treats people in general, much less, someone that is a U.S. Veteran. This company treated me like garbage after I left it for another, much better paying job. On my first day of working for RamCo Protective, two different captains, called me on two different occasions, to ask me if the guy that I replaced, was "bad mouthing" the company, and asked me if he had been saying andy bad or critical things about working for RamCo Protective. I found that to be very suspicious, and yes, the guy that I did replace, had some critical things to say about the company. But I was desperate for a job, so I continued working for RamCo Protective. But now I know what all of the other bad reviews of this company were talking about, including the guy whose job I replaced at RamCo Protective. I strongly suggest that you look for another security company to work for, or to hire for your gated community. As a security officer, this company will force you to purchase their $60 shoes, and they will pay you very little money. I worked 40 hours a week, plus 2 hours of overtime each week, for a total of 42 hours each week, and despite that, I made less money than I would have earned if I were to have worked the same hours at Bed Bath & Beyond, or Best Buy, or a retail store like that, or if I were waiting tables at a restaurant. This is an easy job, but you will not earn enough money, and you will be working for a company that is run by immature and dishonest people. The other person who worked at our office as a security offier, had been working for this company for 10 months, and he told me, that after working for RamCo Protective for 6 months, he was given a raise of only .25 cents per hour. That is .25 cents, as in, one quarter, for those of you who still use coins. His hourly wage went from $10.00 and hour, to $10.25 an hour, after working for RamCo Protective for six months. You will make better money than that at most jobs out there. Unless you want to worry about being cheated out of your money, I strongly suggest you look for another company to work for than this one. And read all of the negative reviews online about this company, before you decide to work for them. Even if you are desperate for a job, you will make better money working for any large retail store, or waiting tables at a restaurant. I would never recommend this company to any one.

Pros

Lots of hours because no one wants to work here.

Cons

There are "clerical errors" so that you don't get paid the hours that you worked and have to call into the office many times to fix it. This includes the vacation pay they owe you after your one year. They also charge you once in the beginning for your uniform but if you don't return it dry cleaned then they charge you for it a second time. If you don't put in your two weeks your pay is reduced to minimum wage. This company sucks every single cent out of the employee's check. If you ask someone something they essentially tell you they don't handle that and they redirect you to someone else. Usually it's to someone higher up that you're unable to get ahold of. They are short staffed because no one, reasonably, wants to work here due to these reasons I listed.
