I have been working at RISE Services, Inc. part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It gets your foot in the door of working with people that have disabilities The managers are very helpful when you need help

    Cons

under paid without breaks or growth opportunities. Parents can be very difficult to work with. Hours are NEVER a promise. Rise is pretty much a company that puts you in contact with a family and then you work everything out with the family- not the company.

  3. "Weekly Schedule Change"

I worked at RISE Services, Inc. part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Experience of support of IDD individuals

    Cons

At original interview I'd been asked what I was looking for. My reply was "Full time or at least 30 hours a week. After being offered the position, I wasn't told until 2-3 months later & complaining of weekly hours that were averaging 20-25 hours a week, it was then I was told that I was never hired for full time, but part time only.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at RISE Services, Inc. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Collaboration and communication between areas and departments is better then I have ever experienced. Collectively we all have the same goal in mind. Management really looks to develop the front line. I for the first time in awhile I can say I trust the administrative and management team at Rise.

    Cons

Staffing is by far the hardest part of the job. DSP burnout is still so high.

I worked at RISE Services, Inc. full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Clients and co-workers were delightful and very hard to leave, even when I knew staying was negatively effecting just about every aspect of my life.

    Cons

I loved the job when I worked with clients and was excited to move up into a supervisor position, but was left untrained and not prepared to do the job they asked of me. I was constantly made to look inadequate due to lack of response to my questions, concerns, or needs. Management doesn't listen to potential problems and will wait until things are really bad in a situation - even when there have been pleas for help - until it is a disaster. Then they jump in and just cast blame. They may just come in and move the furniture around in the building over the weekend without talking to any staff. That has been known to happen when they promise to come down and have meetings or a discussion about a concern that has been made known to them. So far, no amount of furniture moved has made an impact on anything other than a good eye-roll from the employees at that location.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at RISE Services, Inc. full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

No pros. This employer does not follow the guidelines for individuals with disabilities. They even are contracted to work with individuals with disabilities, but when one of their long term staff becomes disabled or has health problems they will fire them. They do not follow ADA guidelines.

    Cons

Be aware. They fire good employees who have disabilities/health problems. They also just fire good people who do not fit into their mold or question what they do. Lies, deception and treat their employees poorly. I have seen so many employees leave because they are not treated fairly after years of employment.
