As a mission-driven organization, we pride ourselves on our company values, the talent and diversity on our staff, our product, and most of all, on our collective commitment to improving the livelihoods of our student users. We’re glad that you feel positively about these attributes and agree that we have an exceptional team! With that said, we acknowledge that there have been growing pains associated with continued progression and growth at a startup of our size and stature. We’ve actively taken steps to address these challenges over the last several months - including implementing a new professional development and performance playbook to help guide individuals’ career progression and growth, investing in new diversity and inclusion initiatives (both for existing staff and for recruitment at all levels), and hiring more senior leaders to shorten feedback loops and improve the flow of dialogue within teams and across the company.
