You can only have PTO and work life balance if the owner likes you. I got too many projects at the same time. All staff is stretched too thin and given too many projects to work on at once. There was a lot of context switching and if there was a customer or project that was not going well, Engineers were diverted off of other projects to handle the fire. There was bullying, stand ups were awful. I quit going. I got fired with no warning and no justification except for performance issues. A week ago I was told I was doing too much for the customers and not do as much.I had happy customers. About six or seven other people got fired on the same day, without just cause. All of them were also hard workers and had been there for a while. I think they fired a bunch of people in order to make their total revenue look higher than what it really is. Reviews are inflated. It’s basically a sweatshop. If you’re not in the right click, or you’re not an engineer. No one cares what you have to say or what your opinions are. I was supposed to get four weeks severance pay but my final paycheck Was not even worth two weeks of salary. Left a great job for all of the perks and an increase in salary if the company was sold, but I think that they let people go so they wouldn’t have to pay out, in the end. They let a lot of valuable talents and tribal knowledge go.
