I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Have worked in a number of large companies nationally and locally, they've all been good but working here has been great. The work is always challenging, in a learning every day way and the pace is always fast, in a let's get it done way...it's good to work for a company that is genuinely up for change and getting things done. Even though it's a large company, it has a small company feel because almost everyone knows everyone and there's a real sense of working together to make things happen. And if you want them...the opportunities are there, a lot of companies talk about a "career path", this one can actually demonstrate that they can and have actually delivered on that for people. They're big on rewards too...I get my nails done onsite, i've had a session with a reflexologist onsite, i've had a massage onsite and I'm at the onsite gym having a PT session at least three times a week...ok...only twice a week...but the point is...as an employer I think Regeneron is hard to beat!

    Cons

I would have to make some up...so no, none.

    Advice to Management

Frequency and transparency of communication is great, people onsite feel like they know what is happening, what the site goals and priorities are, keep it up!

    Pros

Regeneron is a Modern company that cares about its employees.

    Cons

I dont recommend working 3rd shift at Regeneron. A lot of the benefits are lost to the overnight employees.

I worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Location (Tarrytown). If you do not like living in the city but don't want to be far from it, this is a good location. Also has quiet towns near by.

Very science driven with seminars from visiting professors/consultants

Pay was okay (depending on where you lived) but supplemented by stock options (and the stocks did well eventually)

    Health insurance was decent

    Company had 401K matching program

For a midsize company, we got to see some degree of how science drove some decisions in group meetings

Not unheard of and not too difficult to transfer from one group to another within the company

Overall friendly atmosphere. Did not feel heavily toxic (could have been in some other groups)

    Cons

Group dynamics could greatly differ within the company and the degree of company culture was dictated by what a group head tolerated/allowed.

Pay was not as competitive as some other companies.

Depending on the group, one could work extended hours

Evaluation was a sham (as with many places). Promotions seemed to work on a quota system. Doing something "well" for a year, meant you had to show "consistency" into the next year. This consistency was subject to evaluation the next year with or without quarterly/mid-year feedback.

I worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, lots of energy and youth there. Very positive attitude from every employee at any level of management

    Cons

Manufacturing work was a bit tiring. Management was shifting all over the place due to their fast growth. Sometimes people got promoted to management on shifty credentials. Rensselaer site head is a bit of a wack job
