"This company is ran by a bunch of unprofessionals"

I have been working at Resort World Casino New York City full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Free lunch for all employees.

    Cons

Nothing is fair at this company. I have never seen a company where people with degrees are paid significantly less than people without high school diploma. A purchasing clerk makes $15/hr while a custodian that cleans the bathroom makes $30/ hr. People in accounting also makes less than someone who is a cashier in Popeyes. This is absolutely ridiculous. How are unskilled people being paid more than people with college degrees. This company does not care about non union employees. They agreed to a contract where they pay all union workers $30+/ hr so therefore they don’t pay you much if you are not in the union. This makes absolutely no sense

    Pros

    Cons

I suggest everyone to atleast try for a year and work in this place. That way anywhere you may go after, it cant be worse than Resorts World and you actually get to appreciate no matter where you end up after.

I worked at Resort World Casino New York City full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free lunch, a lot of parking, a quiet desk job. You can keep to yourself and learn about a diverse environment in hospitality, plus there is a hotel being built which may lead to more opportunities and experience. I recommend anyone who wants to work here not to stay for more than one-two years.

    Cons

Poor department communication that leads to daily problems. Management definitely favors some employees more than others, and if you get on their bad side they make it their mission to get you fired. Too much high school drama, not enough recognition for good work. You have to work weekends in the Income Audit department while everyone else in the back offices has off. HR department is not helpful at all. The overall environment for women is terrible with the male employees making passes at you and no one doing anything about it except giving a sexual harassment course once a year that everyone treats as a joke. No growth within your department. Should I even go on?

I worked at Resort World Casino New York City full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are minimal pros for this company

    Cons

This company (I worked for 2 different properties) treats employees as expendables. They are not accommodating and are always very negative. Often it feels that the problems within the company from a higher level are taken out on the front line staff. I see several positions opening at new properties that I would qualify for but given my horrible experience working here I won't even apply to this company again.
