I have been working at Revel Systems full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Free lunch is a pro

    Cons

Leadership is absolutely unprofessional, immature and make no sense. If they don’t like you personally you will literally get fired for no reason.

    Pros

Free lunch Cool views Nothing else

    Cons

Sales leadership is horrific. Quota is unobtainable- in my tenure here I only saw one rep hit full quota. Unlimited vacation isn’t a real thing - I get it is sales but with unobtainable quota, even taking a sick day off is frowned upon. No ability to work from home even though they have all the resources. Parking is a mess (be prepared to pay upto $8 a day and it’s not guaranteed). They hire people regularly that just quit straight up because they see what the company actually is. If you leave before 5pm - you get a talking to by the managers (even on Fridays).

    Pros

    - Friendly co-workers - Free lunches and snacks

I worked at Revel Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Worked with awesome employees. Free lunch/snacks. Unfortunately, a lot of the great employees in the US has been laid off already.

    Cons

Distrust- there is no trust between the employees and their manager mainly due to lack of communication. Instead of hiring and promoting experienced employees within, the company promoted managers and directors who do not know how to do complete their team's workload nor how to be a good leader. Poor Process/Training- not enough training provided to better assist the customer or the team. There have been numerous times where a merchant would voice out their issues and there were no solid answers readily available. Due to the constant updates and new implementations, there was no proper meeting/training given on how to deal with certain issues that may arise. Overworked/ Underpaid- work gradually increased more and more while working at this company. However, there was hardly much of an increase to my pay to compensate for the amount of work/training/projects that I have completed. In addition to this, I noticed most teams are always short-staffed. The company needed to hire more people within each team since I noticed most people on their team was spread out very thinly. This company has a bad reputation in promoting the right people to lead their team; stingy in reinvesting back to their hard-working employees with an e.g bonus, salary increase, or title change.

    Pros

Fun startup culture. Free lunch and snacks. Good company to get experience with.

    Cons

Things were very unorganized in the kind of way where upper management set up the sales team to fail. Although, my direct managers were great. Either way, it was frustrating but I believe they've restructured now and I think things are better.

    Pros

People, snacks, free lunch. Glassdoor asks to provide 20 words of pros, but I cant come up with more than 4...

    Cons

The people that work here are talented and hardworking, but have no direction. Departments are always struggling to get on the same page, support can’t support the product, and clients are never almost always unhappy. The turnover rate is incredible. The company has almost cut in size due to unhappy employees. The sales team is highly talented, but there is no one to support them or their clients after the sale is made. Whenever I see Revel working in a restaurant it’s sad how shocked I am.

I have been working at Revel Systems full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free lunches when I was there, no longer the case now..

    Cons

Supervisor is a complete joke, system pushed out updates that implement new features without addressing current issues so it’s more garbage on top of garbage, crazy micromanaging apparently this has been the case after CEO got let go, phone software has absolutely no means of letting you take desired restroom breaks so they offer ridiculious solutions to remedy that problem simply don’t go to the bathroom more times than you should, however nothing compares to the lack of communication between departments when it comes to forwarding said issues to those departments directly who are assigned those responsibilities and how did they go about fixing this?.. easy instead of hiring more operations department employees they simply handed down a majority of there responsibilities to brand new tier 1 call agents and threw them through an entire week of training to cover those responsibilities.. this is the most absurd means of handling said problem never in my life had I ran into a company that not only removes the ability to get said customer to CSR or Operations that ability simply isn’t there and when the customer can’t get in contact with the right people imagine how they feel ..

I worked at Revel Systems for less than a year

    Pros

Free lunch, a few snacks, office was in San Francisco.

    Cons

The office was like a fraternity house, plus it was dirty and overcrowded. The management had no clue what they were doing and how to support employees. I think the meaning of micromanagement began here. The product never worked as intended, completing installs was a total nightmare, many unhappy customers. You know it's bad when the CEO and CTO get canned.
