Pros

You can learn a lot. They're willing to move you around to try and find a good fit if you're not good in you're current role but show initiative and gumption. You get a vacation voucher every 5 years you work there. Pretty decent Christmas bonus, for everyone, not just managers.

Cons

Salaries are well under industry averages. You work a LOT of free overtime at home. C-Suite and director level management spends more time pointing fingers rather than taking responsibility. CEO makes emotional decisions on a whim and implements change in a very blustery/reactionary way. This causes massive instability and horrible morale company-wide. CEO never holds anyone accountable in his upper management and rolls all blame downhill to lower managers or to employees. We all had laptops, that's just how the company operates. Yet for the entirety of the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were all made to come into office. This resulted in over half of the staff getting COVID. CEO is a right wing conspiracy theorist.

Pros

This company hires people fast, so if you need to get a job quickly, and have no other choice, come here.

Cons

1. Just like it hires people fast, RMS is trigger friendly to fire people fast. You always have to keep watching if your back to see if you're next on the chopping block. 2. The leads and management are too busy to explain what you need to do in detail. At the same time, there is a push to get everything done as quickly as possible. So you end up in a stressful situation, continuously trying to figure out what you need to get done, with little support. Everyone knows this here. They call it "The RMS way." 3. The execs love to sign agreements with other companies, promising a bunch of work will be done, within very little time. The everyone else but the execs ends up having to pay the price. This has historically been the case. RMS's whole goal is to build as many features as possible (regardless of actual quality), so that it can be resold for a higher price.

We strive to provide a comfortable working environment for all. We have an open-door policy with our employees and always encourage them to express their thoughts with their direct manager about any issues related to the workplace. We also expect our employees to work to the best of their ability. As a steady fast-growing company, keeping up with the latest technology and meeting our contractual deadlines is very important. We will consider your feedback as we progress in our work.

Pros

This is a training ground, this is your boot camp for a professional career, regardless of whether you went to college or not (which, if you didn't, is a God-send). An invaluable place to gain real-world experience. You may not be 100% ready for another role at a different company, but you'll be pretty close. Pay the price and enlist here if you're desperate. If you're an established professional who can line up other opportunities, I'd recommend avoiding this place.

Cons

Look, every company has its problems, and I'm not 100% sure how RMS stacks up against other companies, but boy oh boy, this place is on ONE of the circles of Hell. From my unknowledgeable perspective, it seems that there's a major disconnect between management and everything else. I've seen plenty of teams getting overworked because of bad business decisions, trainwreck decisions that keep me asking "when", not "if", will RMS collapse? The CIO is a really smart guy, super knowledgeable, but he's not a great administrator or high-level manager. So it's a pain to have to report to him, or have him as a stakeholder. And his wrath is to be feared, should you upset him, which is NOT conducive to a healthy work environment. From what I understand, the pay isn't great. There was a steady, unending stream of friends that left RMS for other positions that paid 10% - 50% more. I will grant that RMS's healthcare is pretty good, and if you're single, is free. However, that kind of insurance covers maybe 5k in yearly salary, which is still well below a decent pay.
