1. HIGH TURNOVER. Since the start of 2019, Ringcentral UK is going through a period of high turnover, where so many of our colleagues are leaving or being sacked after working for 2+ years.. without any specific reason. The worst is when we made friends with these people who make going to work fun and enjoy working with are gone. In the past 6 months, I've seen some golden people, jokesters of the office who would make everyone laugh, make all of us have a good time, leave - once they left, it felt like the SOUL of the company left with them. Right now it mainly feels like a toxic work environment - no more team-building events, everyone is very apart from each other although all departments are on the same floor; which leads us to the second point: 2. OFFICE GOSSIPING. Staff joke about a particular manager in the office OPENLY and ARGUE with them for the sake of the show in front of the others - this is a complete sign of disrespect that needs to be addressed RIGHT NOW. HR somehow disregards this issue. Shame. Staff complain to each other about each other... This is distractive and unnecessary. These issues have been present for as long as one can remember but never worked through. 3. COMPANY MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A MONEY ROBOT They make you feel like your job is to do what is expected, no time given to learn new things, unless it’s during personal time at home and they don’t really care about: who we are as individuals, our professional development plan, what’s important to us.. All they care about is that you keep your head down, you get the metrics done, you make the money, you help them be successful and that’s about it. They don’t make you feel valued and it’s not just about us, they don’t value staff on a general basis – just by replacing people they no longer feel are useful to them, instead of trying to understand them and help them improve. Not to mention that when one is fired, it’s done a regular week day, in the middle of the morning or after lunch in the afternoon – just to humiliate the person, instead of telling them at the end of the week. Basically, get ready to go to work wondering if today will be your last day. I have never seen such poor treatment for their own staff, who dedicated their time and efforts for the company for a long period of time! That’s proper “humiliation by example” – to show the others that if they don’t perform, that’s what awaits them. No matter of your personal circumstances. That’s petty! All of the above goes in contrast with what it was like a year ago – a friendly and happy environment that brought everyone together, inter-departmental drinks, nights out – it needs to come back. 4. NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Especially if you don't live in the Ealing area and need to commute. By the time you get home it's 19.30, so it doesn't look like a fair balance to me. No work from home flexibility. We're not trusted to do our job well from home, apparently; I thought that's what our product was designed for and it is our biggest selling point...wait, what? Ask yourself again: Is it worth it as compared to where you are now?

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We strive to create a positive work environment for all our employees and are sincerely disappointed to learn about your experience. As you point out, the UK office has grown significantly over the past few years and, as is sometimes the case when an office is growing quickly, there can be some mis-steps – both in hiring and communication. However, we have worked hard to develop a more significant HR presence in our UK office to address many of your concerns and remain committed to hiring the right individuals with the right skill set to support our collaborative “work as one” environment that we have built over the past years. Thank you again for your honest feedback, and I hope you will consider sharing your feedback with our HRBP team so we can gain greater insight on your experience.

Pros

Good product, fellow staff were fun to work with.

Cons

Get ruin of the unexperienced manager, she needs to go!!, I read all the reviews before I went for an interview, I didn't take heed because I assumed it was just some disgruntled old staff members, I really wished i listened. I am still at the company until I find another opportunity.
