I am truly amazed, every day, by the outstanding culture at Ripple, surrounded by smart people who are self-motivated, kind, collaborative! The management genuinely cares about its employees well-being.

The business strategy sounds like it is written by a 5 year old "First, we will create a digital asset. Then, we will have a network, get transactions and then we can IPO!" There is so much potential here, if key executives that drive the strategy would drop get a clue and actually focus on execution and creating real value that the market will pay for vs. paying people to use the software and claiming success through vanity metrics.

Pros

Company has a great, important, and globally relevant mission. Smart people working fast to accomplish A LOT and it's really happening. I'm happy to be in a place where there's a lot of positive energy and momentum.

Cons

Steep learning curve in this industry but the company does an amazing job of onboarding to give you all the necessary resources to get up to speed quickly.

Pros

I've been working in tech for 10 years and Ripple is the real deal. Most recently I was at another hot company in silicon valley and the contrast here is profound. Ripple has a a very open environment of smart people without the arrogance that permeates other companies that are growing quickly - addressing big markets. I attribute a big part of that to mature, experienced leadership that has a clear plan and is executing that plan.

Cons

To be fair, Ripple is not immune from growing pains... that's what happens when you add about 25% of your total headcount in one quarter! There are some mid-level managers (and even one or two more senior managers) that need to scale with the business and focus more on helping their teams grow with the company.
