      I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time

      Pros

Salaries from Management level onwards are at or above market average for this industry. Opportunity to grow and move around countries as you do.

      Cons

If you join from a different industry, your previous experience is not valued too much once you start working, or when you want to move internally to a position closer to your profile, again your experience in other industries is not really taken in consideration.

      Advice to Management

Be open to professionals from other industries, take advantage of fresh and diverse knowledge. It is not only about your hospitality experience.

I worked at Ritz-Carlton for more than a year

      Pros

Definitely the extensive and constant training you receive for different skills. There is a genuine care for your capacity building. Another strong point is the teamwork experience, in my experience it is full of talented and passionate individuals from which you learn a lot.

      Cons

It's such a good place to work higher positions rarely open and when they do, there is a queue of people that have been waiting for years. So if you are a relatively new member, unless you pull some strings, take a ticket and wait

I worked at Ritz-Carlton for more than a year

      Pros

Training and team management was pretty good. You will be able to learn best client service tactics and the skills will be very useful if you work for client related jobs after.

      Cons

some had to deal with consecutive night shifts like 6 days. The salary is just o.k. although the job roles requires very high standard and very demanding.

      Advice to Management

I consider it was positive experience, however it is not a company you want to work for a long time. Department managers change every couple of months so you need to be highly flexible person.
