I have been working at Robert Walters full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

friendly environment excellent routes for progression meritocratic good mixture of work and fun excellent incentives brilliant training programmes

    Cons

bonus is a lot better than some people make out but are not always as transparent as they could be tend to hire a lot of graduates which can be good but can also bring an immature element

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the employees than the competition and always be as open and transparent as possible.

I have been working at Robert Walters full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Team work together as a whole, always willing to help each other out - Fantastic manager who really cares about you progression and the projects you work on - Young, fun office vibes - Great location

    Cons

    - Long working hours (but flexi hours have recently been introduced)

    Advice to Management

Back office also deserve recognition for their hard work, just as much as the front line - spot bonuses (or something similar thereof) are small gestures but offer great motivation and encouragement

I have been working at Robert Walters full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Encourage to be out of the office networking and meeting with clients and candidates

    Cons

Hours can be a bit tedious (08:30 - 18:00). 09:00 would be a better start.

Former Employee - Consultant in London, England

I worked at Robert Walters full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some strong recruiters in the business to learn from. Managers are well looked after as they pretty much decide they're in charge of the team bonus pot, which includes their own bonus

    Cons

High staff turnover, they take on people with no experience because they're cheap and wait for them to figure out themselves if recruitment is for them. The "discretionary bonus" system is a complete cheat, you'd earn more in commission from literally any other agency, however Walters does provide a soft entry into recruitment.

I have been working at Robert Walters full-time

    Pros

There's a collaborative team environment which makes it enjoyable to come to work every day but also helps the business to achieve outstanding results. As a global business there's opportunities for staff to grow their career in the UK and overseas. Success is rewarded and the business is invested in helping staff to develop and grow.

    Cons

It's a great place to work and enjoy coming in every day, so I can't really think of any cons.

I have been working at Robert Walters full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    - Support from management with career development is very good - Recent investment in training programmes has been excellent - the courses are relevant and I have been encouraged to think and act on my self-development - You are seen as an individual and encouraged to be proactive and innovative, not micro-managed - A real focus on team work and supporting each other - Commitment to innovation

    Cons

    - Need more support with technology, quite a way off being a seamless process to be agile - although having the tools to work from home has improved - Diversity is strong in some areas of the business but not in others
