    Pros

    Excellent training opportunities. Access to further education. Working with diverse teams of people helps develop leadership and managerial skills. Certain jobs offer excellent travel opportunities, although not always to good locations. Opportunities to work on diverse aircraft types. Good opportunities for advancement in rank.

    Cons

    Severely undermanned. Depending on job location you could be away from the UK quite a bit which can have a detrimental effect on home life.
