I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The colleagues and bank values were excellent, well paid, interesting work on occasions.

    Cons

Project progress was slow, I felt like a very small cog in a huge machine that didn't make a huge impact. Never saw senior management in a year that I worked there.

I worked at Royal Bank of Scotland International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Worked in a few teams in RBS. The people were awesome in every one of them. Work life balance.

    Cons

As a developer, way too much time is spent on admin and red tape. Company always in the news for the wrong things. Low morale. Constantly downsizing and letting a lot of people go. Technology staff not valued as much as those in front office

    Cons

Rudderless management Unless you have face to face contact with the public or need to physically lay hands on infrastructure then a UK postcode is a serious disadvantage Left hand doesn't know whet the right hand is doing Morale lower than I have ever experienced I hung on for 2 years waiting for a package - fortunately got one Technology only gets upgraded under threat of sanctions from regulators.
