Good learning for freshers. Not Recommended for experienced.

Pros

1. Good work life balance- 8 am - 5 pm or 8 30 am - 5 30 pm fixed timing 2. Scope to learn different sides of a product (game) for freshers in the first 1 year (you may not have much to learn after that). 3. You might find some good friends (if you fit into the Keralite culture- might be difficult for non-Keralites as the majority are Keralites) 4. Cab service- you get timely cab service in morning and evening (only one cab but it covers main points in the city)

Cons

1. Misguided hierarchy of management- Less chance you get benefitted if not in the good book of the top management (India office). Hence not recommended for experienced. 2. Salary not on par with competitors/industry standards for freshers (okayish for experienced). Compensation for FRESHERS especially in Dev/QA/Backend is notably lower than tier 2 city standards (yearly hikes are also minimal)- Hence finding a better package for your next job can be difficult as most of the companies will not provide more than 30%-50% of your current package. 3. Your monitor is always monitored by the IT team :) This might be a concern for some. hence noting.- following are restricted inside the office. - Cell phones not allowed inside - Personal FB page access not allowed except 12 pm -1 pm (lunch break) - Booking websites are blocked (like bookmyshow) - etc.

Pros

In the long run, there are no pros to it. The only thing I can think of is that your teammates and team-leads are friendly and patient people who motivates you to work efficiently. That is the only thing that will keep you in the company.

Cons

If you are planning to join as a fresher, please dont. There are plenty of other companies that pay more and gives much more work satisfaction. 1. There is a one and half year bond for this job posting. During this period, the salary is $155(10000 INR). You will feel stuck after the first 6 months there and believe me nothing goes uphill from there. 2. This is a company that relies only on freshers to do the programming. You will definitely leave the job after the bond period and even if you dont, they wont provide any considerable increase in your salary which will force you to quit anyway. The highest increment for a programmer is around $62(4000 INR) a year. that means, once your salary gets to that $217(which is after one and a half years), you will have to wait another whole year to get another hike of $62(4000 INR). 3. In this company the programmer have to coordinate every aspect of the game and not just coding the UI and mechanics. If anything goes wrong, you are responsible and yet you wont get any appreciation for a job well done. 4. This is a social casino gaming company. That means its not "The Gaming Company" that you have in mind. Its kind of a technological dead-end. After you're forced out of the company in a maximum of two years(because of the salary), you will have to start over somewhere as there is nothing you can continue from. So dont take it up as a career starter. 5. Some titles(not all) are given unrealistic deadlines which force you to work overtime which will cost you time and energy and yet provide nothing in return. 6. They provide compensatory off only for the holidays you have worked, not the countless hours that you will have to stay back on working days to meet the deadlines.
