    Great wages Good benefits i.e. holiday plus, sharesave etc Very good mixture of people Good overall atmosphere and culture Looks after your health and wellbeing as much as possible

    Outdated management with little technical capability Emotionally and mentally demanding work Strict performance expectations Disorganization- very reactive business Career progression is very difficult and competitive

    I have been working at SSE full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    The company offers good benefits such as cycle to work scheme, gymflex with discounts available through companies such as Vodafone. The majority of people who work there want to do the beat they can endeavour to over deliver and work to their own personal targets.

    Cons

    When some roles are “advertised” it’s more for show with nepotism meaning the role may not always go to the person best suited. The sickness policy doesn’t always offer the right support to individuals who may need a tailored action place and can be a tick box exercise.
