    I worked at Sage full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good view from 11th floor of BBT building in Midtown; free fruit occasionally...and that is all.

    Cons

    Too many to mention but as a REAL Sales professional the negative Glassdoor comments are more true to life than the positive ones.

    Advice to Management

    I know there is nothing you can do... the previous post regarding the revolving door of VP and Directors is totally true; the low pay structure is true, the changes in comp plans are true, the uncaring of the executives is true. If I was to give advice I would say, do what I did, leave now, and make more money with a company that cares for you; and I say that to the inside sales rep up to the VP of Sales.

    Pros

    Benefits- Dental, Vision, Medical, Gym reimbursement. Start with vacation time Overtime available if needed Pay is decent if you can hit goal. Work/Life balance is good

    Cons

    Company is becoming to vested in the shareholders rather than the employees. Doubling or even tripling goals from the previous year without making improvements to the product- and at the same time increasing the price of the product 2 to 4 times a year. Micro-managing is ridiculous because of the impossible-to-hit goals. Sage puts on a facade of being a huge family and "OneSage", but again, all of its changes are...

    Advice to Management

    Pick a compensation plan and don't change it when your employees start making money. Properly compensate mid-market sales- they are selling multi-thousand dollar (tens of thousands) software and you award them with hundred dollar bonuses. This is why your mid-market teams drastically change every few months. No one will sell you millions a month for a 2 grand check. Stop increasing prices and irritating off customers...

    Pros

    Excellent environment to grow and advance your career. High tech work environment, exceptional work atmosphere with nice facilities. Opportunity for advancement for people who work hard and have a clear career path. World Class technology solutions with a very strong customer base and market presence.

    Cons

    Training on occasion can be dated. Organization is very large, many employees only know about their solution and division, and can create a confusing experience for incoming clients. Slow development of solutions. New employees can garner higher salaries than current employees in the same role. Your employment experience can vary based on your role.

    Advice to Management

    Engage more on social media, wage standardization across the business units.

    I have been working at Sage full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I have honestly never worked for a company that valued their employees as much as Sage has! Between offering great healthcare benefits, vision, PTO, charity days, etc. it really makes a great working environment for all employees. I was offered a reasonable compensation package based on just graduating from college last year. I would recommend anyone to work for this company.

    Cons

    I have been with this company since last October (2015) and have no complaints as of yet.

    Advice to Management

    None at the time.

    I worked at Sage full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Healthy install base of software products and all sorts of positions available. This company ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

    Cons

    It's a rudderless ship living off of it's install base. Management is clueless, with high turnover in the executive ranks, and has been trying to grow the business by rolling back benefits and salaries of employees. Also, it refuses to market itself better so public perception is next to nill despite millions being spent in marketing.

    Advice to Management

    Pick a direction and run with it. Stop making policy decisions that hurt employees because growth is hard in saturated markets.
