I have been working at Sage full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Given that I started my role at Sage during the middle of a Global Pandemic, I honestly couldn't feel more welcomed and reassured, as well as beginning to feel settled as part of the Sage team. My line manager and the recruiter messaged me before I was due to start to ensure that I knew my job was still secure and they were excited for me to join, which in the middle of the pandemic was both reassuring but also solidified for me that my decision to go to Sage was a very good one. I've had a whirlwind of a first 2 months and have learnt an awful lot about Sage and what they have to offer for both the customers but also their staff and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

    Cons

My only downside is I'm working from home and yet to meet my employees, I can;t wait to get into the office and start to truly settle in to Sage life.

I have been working at Sage full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Where do I start, I have been with sage for just over a year and what a ride it has been. The difference really matters when it’s time to make a difference. During covid-19, Sage, well and truly stepped up to the plate, I thought I may lose my job as many others were all around the country but not at Sage. The senior leadership team stepped in and reassured everyone that no one would lose their jobs or be furloughed. The mantra is to do right by the customers but also to do right by the staff. That has truly humbled me and the level of support has been unparalleled, from my immediate team manager, who has been instrumental, to my senior manager who has always leant an ear and provided practical support, to the leadership team at Manchester and wider within Sage and to my colleagues, who have been there for me. We are all in this together and it is only right that we stood by each other and stand by each other. We supported and continue to support our customers - the bookkeepers and the accountants. Sage as a responsible UK business stepped up to provide and offer practical support and free tools to help support them and we are only a phone call away. I’m looking forward to getting back to the office, whenever that happens or what ever that looks like but at the right time, for now we continue to support from home, because we genuinely care. Sage are very well financially positioned, the career prospects are endless, you just need to put the work in. Once again, thank you, the Manchester office is the place to be.

    Cons

I can’t think of any besides, keeping up the communication and support so we can build on the success.

I have been working at Sage full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I've worked at Sage for over a decade and haven't always been blown away by their approach to certain scenarios (but you could say that about any company right?). With the Covid-19 pandemic, I can hand on heart say Sage could not have done more for their colleagues, helping us to work from home, providing reassurance and constant updates in an ever-changing situation. Our local MD and our CEO have regularly kept in touch and for me personally, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to continue to work safely and with the security of knowing our company is performing well. But I'm also incredibly proud to be working for a company who in my opinion, has really stepped up to support customers and partners at this time, especially compared with other similar companies. Amazing!

    Cons

Some internal processes can be a little-drawn out and sometimes, you'd like to think common sense can speed things up a bit - but this has massively improved in recent years thankfully.

    "Great employer with great benefits"

I have been working at Sage full-time

    Pros

Great employer, 6 years have flown as it is fast paced, rewarding and fully engaging. Sage actively works with practices to help build products tailored to needs. There are always engaging meetings to director levels where majority of staff gets the opportunity to share honest feedback, which helps when a business listens to it's staff.

    Cons

Circumstances beyond our control usually determines software updates, such as HMRC legislation changes, which is managed as quickly as possible, due to the fast paced industry, sometimes our software releases may be a little late off the mark, but when released, you are always proud that this company delivers.
