- Hired too may mediocre staff (and struggle to retain the good staff)
- Code base needs lots of improvement and uses lots of relatively old technologies
- the WORST codebase I have ever seen in my 10 years as a software developer, I won't even attempt to describe it.
- product is about 95% technical debt, no will to fix this
