I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Retirement and insurance plans and benefits, discount on cheese, friendly employees, nice building

    Cons

Terrible HR, boys club attitude in supply chain department, lack of ability to move up the latter, you feel like you are working to give more money to the higher ups, long hours and no work/life balance, too many meetings

I worked at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Salary and benefits are great. Most employees were a joy to work with(excluding management/supervisors).

    Cons

Long hours, consistent mandatory over-time, not family-oriented at all, do not take into consideration employees ideas/suggestions, favoritism (kiss-butt and you are in management's favor), if you are vocal and not afraid to speak out(which should be everyone) you are labeled a trouble maker, implementing new, ridiculous disciplinary actions for the littlest infractions, seems to be trying to get rid of senior employees--those with 15+ years service. Making it harder on those who are left at 8-hours because eventually they want the whole plant to go to 12-hours. Some employees are immature and over-dramatic and supervisors do nothing to curb those employees behavior. A majority of the production supervisors (especially the 2 on first shift) are lazy and so they will leave a department short-handed instead of jumping in and helping. More employees would leave if they weren't the main income and/or insurance carrier in their families. Schreiber Foods know this and that is why they sit back on their heels and do nothing about the deteriorated moral of its employees since they took over. And some of the employees may talk bad about the company behind its back but then back down when questioned by management relying on those not afraid to speak up to say something.

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Schreiber is a company with high expectations, strong results, amazing people to work with, many growth opportunities, and awesome customers. Pay and benefits are above average. There is a high degree of ownership to every job, and therefore a high degree of reward and personal growth. Schreiber's leaders care about their employees (partners), and show this in many ways. Not only do they care about their employees, but also their ethics and values overall. Honesty and transparency is abundant.

    Cons

You have to love being challenged and working hard to love working at Schreiber. No job is easy! Leadership positions work long hours, and many involve travel or relocation. Manufacturing level positions have demanding work schedules and can require overtime or off-shifts.

I worked at Schreiber Foods part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Schreiber Foods has excellent benefits. Each employee is a partner in the business and they really care about each employee's wellbeing.

    Cons

Physical strain from factory work, long hours on your feet. Must wear uniform and can be uncomfortable. The factory floor is very loud so communication can be strained

    I worked at Schreiber Foods

    Pros

They offer a competitive salary and a good amount of future opportunities.

    Cons

Make sure you like the rural setting. If you don't then I highly suggest you look elsewhere. Also, be prepared to work long hours.
