    I worked at Schroders full-time

    Pros

Family feel, friendly people, culture of co-operation, good work life balance and great benefits Senior management are fair and want to do the right thing. Good social activities

    Cons

Can be a little stuffy, too many senior managers vs junior staff hence seems that you need to join as a senior person to do well in the new era. Seems to be high turnover of junior staff and senior managers that are very static.

    I worked at Schroders full-time

    Pros

Nice office Majority of staff are nice and friendly Encouraging intake of grads and ex-military Strong ethics for corporate social responsibility Excellent benefits

    Cons

People who have been there a long time have an awful attitude Rude behaviour is accepted by senior management One message one day, complete different message the next Leadership do not know their backsides from their elbows Blame culture is part of every day life, watch your back If your face doesn't fit, start to look elsewhere (you'll know pretty quick)

    Pros

great team spirit - felt supported during my internship and would be happy to work for the company in the future .Constant training on the job.

    Cons

The pay grade at Schroders is lower than other financial institutions and the pace of life is also slower. Distant senior management figures.

I have been working at Schroders full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people are generally great to work with. Managers receive core training, so employees without management experience do get at least a foundation level of knowledge to work with and aren't just left to invent a management style for themselves. Work/life balance is real and unless the pressure is on to meet a deadline no one is a slave to their desk. A 9 to 5 day can actually be the norm!

    Cons

Compensation is not as good as at comparable companies. Development of talent at all levels is not fantastic - the focus is on the obvious and HR/senior management do not look within often enough to develop talent across the business.

I have been working at Schroders full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Gym in basement - decent coffee shop - some intersting corporate art

    Cons

This company seems to have got deeply confused about its own identity - trying to move on from the parochial, family run firm to a more corporate approach - and has carefully taken the worst characteristics of both. An ivory tower dwelling, dictatorial senior management who expect to be treated like royalty and demonstrate hubris and superciliousness as their most common character traits. This arrogance and feudal attitude means motivation among the serfs is lower than the gym in the basement.

I have been working at Schroders

    Pros

Relaxed working environment, low staff turnover and a great name in the City enabling opportunities beyond working for the company

    Cons

Pay is not great although benifits and holidat allowance partially make up for poor basic compensation. Inequality of pay in senior management.

I have been working at Schroders full-time for more than a year

    Pros

compensation and benefits I don't have more on my mind

    Cons

    - working climate is depressive, general team morale is low - management is making climate even worse, management culture is low, not only senior management - all levels - does not feel like working in a team, small teams defensively working together - employees turn over is high - main activities showeling data from dozens of crappy DBs, and outsourcing activities, company has no technical strategy at all just showel the data list is not full so you decide either it makes sense to bury your passion for money

I have been working at Schroders full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people you'll meet, hard working, adaptable, helpful. Amazing colleagues ! The compensation package is great and better than most competitors. It is a great place to learn and develop as most teams are small and the pace is quite fast. Internal moves are promoted and frequent, to different departments or locations. Training offer, and efforts made to offer regular well-being training to employees.

    Cons

Lack of transparency from senior management. London-centric, forcing their views to other locations without asking for their input. Forcing the change to happen too quickly destroyed the company culture we had in Luxembourg. Within 2 years I feel like we went from a family to a factory...
