Pros

Work from home and stock options

Cons

Nepotism Bullying / harassments Executive and high levels keep promoting themselves Mid-level and lower level promotions make no sense No real career growth Undermining Favoritism (only the people who suck up to the CEO and COO get invited to company events) High turnover Micro-managers Managers and executive team have no experience Workload very high for a few while others do not pull their weight (the family members or friends of the executive team of course) ....Shall I go on?

Started as a dream, turned out to be a complete nightmare

Pros

Diverse career and cultural backgrounds of global coworkers Great pay and full benefits Freedom to work remotely and provided with all the technology and tools needed to do so Great business model which is changing the way pharmaceutical research is done (for the better)

Cons

High-school-like cliques; you're either in or out, resulting in an abundance of gossip and "Mean Girl" behavior Favoritism of certain employees and no real structure for annual promotions If your opinion disagrees with management too often, you most likely will be looking for new employment Well thought out cross functional team developed projects will change at the whim of the CEO last moment-- and not in a "keep up with a fast paced environment," or, " you need to be adaptable," way. Company culture only really exists if you are located at headquarters or in "the club"-- otherwise you have to fight for your rights and are left out of social events, meetings, company retreats, etc.
