I have been working at Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great initiatives to be involved with and distinct career path opportunities. Staff are given autonomy to work flexibly and with creatively and have various options to learn and develop their skills. A genuine family feel to the whole organisation. Communication is excellent and staff are kept up to date with strategies, business plans etc. Overall staff engagement is higher than most other Government Departments.

    Cons

I.T. is still catching but is there's been a concerted effort made to improve in this respect.

    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible working pattern "to match with business need"

    Cons

Management is shocking! No managment training and large amounts of bullying. Directors with no back bone and head ofs with no people skills. If your a little bit different do not work here, it is not an inclusive work place and you will be treated with distain by the older man who has been in public service for 30 years.

Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service Response

    January 20, 2020SCTS Recruitment Team

All employees have support mechanisms in place to allow them to raise issues or concerns they may have in a safe and formal manner whilst in our employ. The opportunity for employees to participate in an exit interview is given to all employees leaving SCTS and these encourage constructive feedback. Procedures are in place to address issues or concerns that are raised in those interviews or where an employee raises concerns at any time during their employment with us. Any behaviours that are not aligned to our organisational values of respect, excellence and service are addressed formally and taken very seriously.
