      Pros

      Good work life balance through shift work Good people (both peers and above) Customer focused No micromanagement

      Cons

      No progression past a certain point Would be good to see more family orientated thinking e.g. flexi working hours (part time options) mat leave/pat leave beyond statutory, paid parental leave.... there's definitely things screwfix could to better to engage and retain working parents especially mums.

      Cons

      Fusion is a highly flawed system - forever crashing. ILS and Fusion should be combined so click&collect and placing an order is done through one single software. Ringfenced orders are a good concept but poorly executed. 20 min break for 7.5 hour shifts but constantly on your feet. Go home in actual pain from the shift. Management have favourites when they schedule rotas. Have to schedule all holidays in one go. Some lazy members of staff who ignore the RDTs but do not get disciplined for doing so. Creates more work for everyone else. Claiming to be sustainable but wasting so much POS and paper through picking. Especially ringfenced orders. Expected to have a vast amount of knowledge about electrical/plumbing despite not being product trained on anything. Deliveries are messy - stacks and cages turning up on days where we aren’t expecting them. Banners are difficult to hang. Staff should be trusted with the supervisor code. If you can’t trust your staff then what’s the point? As long as employees tell the customers to retain their receipt then they should be allowed to use it. If staff are allowed to process ordinary refunds, why are they not trusted to process Paypal returns?

      Cons

      Shocking way of running a business. Totally surprised and disappointed in my experience of working here. How a company like Screwfix allows this store to be run like this is truely beyond my comprehension.

      Caring for the employees well-being. Suitable hours which allows for a positive work life balance. Larger teams compared to competitors. Benefits such as pension and bonus. Onboarding and training.

      Great firm, high staff turnover of staff management favouring staff, it's not all together as a team don't be fooled!

      Pro active firm, positive role the firm plays is getting profits, warm, the company makes you want to do better

      Cons

      Managers are the top of the Screwfix plan, you are at the bottom, they talk about well being but in fact they care less, it's all just talk. Managers have favourites and if it's not you, YOU will do all he work while they stand and talk. Quick to hand out ROC's 'record of conversion' get a load of these and you get a official warning! so if the manager don't like you, you will rack these up like like bumps like when you have measles.

      Pros

      Good atmosphere most of the time. Good pay, two breaks if you can find the time

      Cons

      Some lazy staff, some management members have a habit of sitting about while you work your butts off. Some staff enjoy causing drama when there bored but get away with it due to there length of time working there.

      Pros

      The pay is pretty good.

      Cons

      People enjoy it for the first month or two, but then they realise how rubbish and unhelpful the management are. It is really a shame because some of them are lovely, but some are just really terrible at their job. They also bad mouth the new starters all the time, especially supervisors, whom are all chosen by favouritism (not biased, I am a favourite).
