    Pros

They try really hard to hire good people The culture and behaviours are important to management Strong proposition and progression opportunities Were fantastic during pandemic lockdowns

    Cons

Perhaps need to think about workload on staff - have lost good people through being overworked

Developers beware: ancient tech stack, processes and strongly waterfall

    Pros

There are some nice people here The pay and benefits ... but that's where it ends sadly.

    Cons

    - Horrible, old and outdated technology stack with a terrifying amount of fragmentation across all of it. - Waterfall ways of working despite the project work being an excellent fit for agile. - Lots of people leaving, most likely as a result of above - Too many layers of management and not enough direction - Ideas and push for change come from the bottom up, not from the top-down - As a developer, you'll work on an old version of MVC, Kendo UI (MVC) and plain Javascript all while working in silos and having complex work assigned with little to no requirements - this isn't exactly a development career to get excited about. - Almost every other new starter has the same feeling and is already looking to move on as the amount of change needed to make this a great place to work as a technical developer is sadly just too much and is off-putting - No real evidence of change in terms of technology used or ways of working over the years ive been here - I would say it's getting worse, not better and more people leaving as a result. - No peer reviews of code or strict code standards - No use of Git (yes, that's right) - we're still using TFS (and badly) - We have release cycles and release managers that are draconian. They're part of the problem and need to evolve as the technology field has moved on. - Little to no planning the technical work, its estimated by someone not doing the work and then assigned to you - with again, little to no requirements. Terrible use of Azure DevOps which is a shame as it has so much to offer and help - iterations are used as release cycles and also branches - so everyone works off that one branch with no separate branches per developer or feature. So you end up with a right old mess and merge headache despite the fact times have moved on and they have the tools available to stop doing this. When giving feedback and suggestions they will land on your project lead (another waterfall term) and then go nowhere as they don’t have the authority to make real change happen

    Pros

Generally nice people. Has a good soul. Approve of the CEO. A genuine focus on inclusion and the environment.

    Cons

Heart’s in the right place but execution is poor. Lots of people either don’t have a clue or aren’t motivated to do better. Terrible acquisition of TCAM has damaged both firms (wasn’t current managements doing). Losing good clients and people.
