    Cons

They will calculate your water bill via excel spreadsheet, they will offer you up to 66% for 6 months or offer 33 % for 12 months, year 2 is where you will see your bill rise 25% more than you spend at the moment, most will ask why have i spilled this information, well this ex-employee of CPM (VIA RED-DOTT) does not take too kindly to having his week in hand taken away at the whim of reddot recruitment AND I REALLY DONT TAKE TO KINDLY TO RIPPING PEOPLE OFF word of advice stay clear rest assured i won't be asking for a reference

    Advice to Management

    loose CPM as a source

    Pros

Fantastic opportunities for career progression aligned with a wonderful working environment wher e team working is promoted. Forward thinking and new ideas are welcomed alongside great communications from the company and they embrace honesty, accountability and responsibility in all positions. A company which rewards its employees for great work.

    Cons

Battling against tighter compliance in Waste Water and keeping prices low are a challenge. Capital expenditure is always difficult dependant on paths such as investment in assets, shareholders and remaining a competative market leader. Must continue to strive for 100% compliance in Waste and reward in all areas of the business.

    Advice to Management

Listen to long serving employees, embrace and drive change. Continue to promote trust and well being within teams and management skills required for all employees. We are all different..

I have been working at Severn Trent Water full-time

    Pros

    Great benefits
Fantastic facilities at the head office
Ability to go on training courses if deemed required
    Friendly environment

    Cons

    No sense of empowerment
Communication amongst different departments can be hard at times
Resourcing issues means individuals are sometimes stretched too far and don't have the necessarily training/skills/knowledge to fulfil roles
Unable to see a clear progression, sometimes it's a 'who you know' not 'what you know' that gets you far

    Pros

The staff here are great and the head office is a lovely place to work.

    Cons

Poor management. Recruitment process is appalling. I've been strung along with a temporary contract when I was told I'd be going permanent. Ranstad have been diabolical from the very beginning with poor communication and organisation. I left a full time permanent job to join a blue chip company where I could develop myself. I'm really surprised and sadly dissapointed, alienated and demotivated by the entire process. I feel I made a mistake coming to STC

    Advice to Management

    Be upfront and support employees.

I have been working at Severn Trent Water part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Easy access from motorway
Good selection of food and drinks in canteen
    Local parking and shops
    Cashless vending services
Fitness machine in the canteen area

    Cons

I honestly don't think most of the senior managers know what they are doing, nothing seems to get communicated within the business because mistakes are happening and nothing is being done or noticed! It's like working in a circus! Well not my circus not my monkeys that's for sure!!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Wake up and smell the coffee!!!!
