Pros
Money is better than other men’s salons. Free massages. Owners REALLY like to drink, so good wine is provided at work functions.
Cons
More stress than a $6.99 haircut sale. When you get hired, they paint this picture that quality cuts are the most important things the stylists can provide, when realistically, you’ve got 15 mins to churn and burn through haircut that is supposed to be “perfect” but they still want to fit as many services onto your book to maximize their income rather than being able to take time. 10 hours shifts with 30 minute (or less if you’re running behind) lunch breaks. Lots of passive aggressiveness from management/ownership. Unprofessional behavior from management/ownership. Lack of communication. Emense micromanaging. Being called stupid or retarded by a manager to other stylists.
