    I have been working at Shire full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    There are many wonderful people who have dedicated a great portion of their work careers at Shire. Long time employees at one pharma company is rare. Benefits are great.

    Cons

    -Lack of culture -Employee morale at an all time low -Delaying bonus payout for sales force -Increasing sales quotas with days left in a quarter, making them unattainable. -Lack of confidence in Senior leadership

    Pros

    Decent Salary. Good hard working people. I really don't have a lot of positive things to share about this company other than the salary and working people.

    Cons

    Greedy, uncaring, high stress, poor life work balance, poor senior leadership. Shire is so focused on making money that they've totally forgotten about what most important; the customers, the Patient's and Shire employees. This is a very unhappy place to work.

    Poor management Men dominate management Don't listen to you Never take sick leave or they will let you go

    I worked at Shire full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Co-workers were excellent; time off and company holidays were a plus. Depending on the manager, management was good. Leader in ADHD and the doctors knew it.

    Cons

    Lack of formulary coverage, can make or break you as a representative. Unrealistic goals and expectations. And I had a micromanaging Regional Director...too much drinking of the Kool-Aid.

    People already have the knife in your back. They are just waiting to push it into you Management is very poor and want you to sleep with them in order to keep your job Make up lies about you, just to cause trouble. LIES, LIES, AND MORE LIES Managers will do their own assessment of themselves. If they know you have been chosen to do an assessment of them, they want to meet with you at a coffee shop and fill in the survey by themselves. Then they press send...YOU know who YOU ARE!!!!!
