I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    • Great company comprised of bright people with an innovative culture • New ideas are welcome; consultants are encouraged to take on and deliver personal initiatives that benefit the firm and the consulting community • Small to mid-sized projects compared to large consultancies with a lot of responsibility and client-facing time given to consultants at all levels • Very meritocratic approach to managing and rewarding...

    Cons

    • Competencies/services and size vary a lot by geography. This is a result of uneven fast-paced growth amongst countries as well as some acquisitions. More effort on integration required to catch up with growth

I worked at Sia Partners full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Cons

office facilities not big enough to work in very little training given to new consultants no support when help is requested poor management poor admin support very little career progression

    Advice to Management

      Approves of CEO

I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      - Great people - Interesting clients, a mix of big firms and global lesser known brands which creates a variety of opportunities and ability to work at C-suite/board level for all team members - Ability to take ownership for own performance and manage your own time - Commitment from leadership for work-life balance - Backing of a global firm but local boutique feel - European seminar brings all European staff...

      Cons

      - As a small firm, utilisation is high and a focus of the business which can make it harder to do the extra beyond client delivery - Again, as a small firm, there is nowhere to hide so under performance gets highlighted and managed accordingly, which can be interpreted as high turnover when people choose to leave

"Sia Partners in the UK 2018...."

      StarStarStarStarStar
Current Employee - Director in London, England

I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

        • Entrepreneurial culture with an ethos of taking accountability early for outcomes, regardless of seniority • Genuinely meritocratic; does not organise practices around ratios between ‘grades’ like many of the Big Four firms • Highly commercial approach – all levels encourage to learn business development skills from day one and be involved in commercial conversations • High degree of emphasis on quality assurance,...

        Cons

        • Cross-office integration on propositions and access could be better to take the whole firm to the client • Better collaboration required between the centre and other offices, particularly around key strategic messages • Greater scale in the UK will help the firm be competitive at all levels

        Advice to Management

        Continue to engage and grow

I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for less than a year

          Pros

          - Opportunities to gain experience and get involved from day 1, e.g. responsibility for own project deliverables & outputs, client facetime (regardless of seniority) - Interesting & challenging projects ranging from regulation to strategy to other relevant and current topics affecting the sector you work in - Smooth collaboration within teams, smart colleagues to learn from and everyone makes an effort to...

          Cons

          - Limited crossover between practices, so little opportunity to get experience outside of own industry/team - Some internal processes could be better developed and standardised

I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for more than 3 years

          Pros

A few good people Most diverse Sia office Support staff are helpful Paris office appears to be doing a lot of interesting work Seminars abroad once a year

          Cons

Senior management is not interested in developing employees, no formal training and development, more focus is placed on financials. Highly dependent on contractors, instead of developing permanent staff and placing them on the interesting projects. Bonus & pay rise? non-existent Morale in the...

          Advice to Management

Address the high staff turnover instead of turning a blind eye. A consulting firm should understand human capital is important, start treating your employees like they are valuable.
