I have been working at Simon-Kucher & Partners full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Amazing culture and life experience. Continuous training and climbing the promotion ladder. The company strongly promotes a positive work environment. Smartest and nicest people I have worked with who are always there to help. As a strategy consultant you are looking for three things - Interesting projects, creating real life impact, and engagement with the C-suite. You will get to experience all three here on a regular basis. Company talks a lot about valuing the entrepreneurial spirit of employees and they actually mean it. You get to participate in business development and overall strategic direction of the firm from very early on.

    Cons

None I can think about except for typical consulting stuff such as travelling and long hours time to time.

    - Autonomy - International - Entrepreneurial - Not just one more - No bureaucracy - Good work life balance (on average)

    Cons

    - Your work life balance may depend on the partner you work with - The quality of your projects may depend on the partner you work with - Salary below MBB

    I have been working at Simon-Kucher & Partners full-time

    Pros

Projects are more interesting than in other firms as the topics are commercial growth ones rather than cost cutting, risk management, process optimisation

    Cons

The growth opportunities that were present earlier from the company being small are no longer there as the company has grown. Projects are very focused on Pricing and the clientele is often limited to companies that cannot afford MBB. Salaries are much lower.

I have been working at Simon-Kucher & Partners full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Company has been enjoying above-market success and growth for decades, with recent years being particularly strong. This means it is on a strong growth trajectory with a bright future, creating a real optimistic buzz in the office given the constant wins - Work is fascinating and niche providing a unique opportunity to excel beyond other areas in consulting - Despite pricing focus, all the typical consulting toolkit skills are picked up along with a strong development plan - Strategy, marketing and sales are ever-present and growing products - People are great, with a fairly flat culture and positive atmosphere - Perks are great (healthcare including dental, 6-month rotations to other offices, generous expense allowances, international training, etc)

    Cons

    - The pay is good but could be better. It is more along the lines of Big4 than top consultancy firms - Bonuses are quite low but this should be changing in the future as the company continues its success

    I worked at Simon-Kucher & Partners full-time

    Pros

Highly motivating environment. Great projects and good teamspirit

    Cons

As projects are now heavily strategic, workload has increased as well. Non-monetary benefits behind big consultancy companies
