      You will feel like this will be the best job ever....

      Cons

      The training with Sinceri is horrible. I had no orientation or on boarding as a new Executive Director. This company set me up for complete failure then left me drowning for a year then decided I was not in the right seat. Owners really need to reevaluate Sinceri as their property management company. They are so quick to fire rather than offer help to their loyal and dedicated employees. Almost 3 years total with Sinceri for me and not an ounce of appreciation from them.

          Pros

          The kitchen makes great food and occasionally there are leftovers that otherwise would be thrown out that are shared with staff.

          Cons

          This place does not pay more than McDonald's wages (regardless of making billions in profit annually), refuses to pay its employees enough to keep retention up (there is crazy turnover), management is aware of things being done poorly that affect the care of the residents and chooses to ignore it until State comes through, they hire staff who are unlicensed to to what they're hired for and frequently don't run background checks. One of our med techs has been here 10 years and only makes $1 more an hour than a totally green med tech who just started several months ago.

            Working in Assisted Living for as long as I have, it is a mission, not just a job.

            Cons

            It's alot of work that is most gratifying, I'm just looking for possibly a more Monday through Friday position and not being on call 24/7 any more, that' s all.

                  FRONT OFFICE MANAGEMENT is worthless. Does nothing but sit in office. Nurse is rarely there. Management does not care bout employees or residents. We cannot kerp any good workers due to management. They are not willing to get their hands dirty. When have callouts, managment will not come in till 2-3 hrs later. This building has been blackballed for years due to management

                    Pros

                    I was fortunate to be hired into an excellent team of managers, at a location where employees and managers alike show each other respect without any hidden animosity. There's no shortage of teamwork or solidarity.

                    Cons

                    Corporate heads make questionable financial decisions, makes future of company seem less than guaranteed. Depending on how the building was treated by the previous MTD, you definitely have your work cut out for you and will spend many hours over 40 a week. Expect a metric ton of overnight call ins.

                        Pros

                        Super welcoming at the start. The main staff is friendly, willing to help, and has your back. The Activity Director is super kind and supportive. Most of the residents are super nice and a delight to work for.

                        Cons

                        The Executive Director can be belittling and some of the senior management plays favorites. Some of the residents can be violent, abusive, or a bit much to handle for this type of facility. Can be a bit of a rumor mill.

                      University of Chicago

                      Doing my first behavioral interview with Guidehouse and wondering if anyone has any advice on practice questions for the behavioral interview I might be able to practice with, prep, and map out a STAR response to ahead of time. This is my first time interviewing in this industry and am first gen so feeling nervous, this any advice and tips are much appreciated.
