I have been working at Skillsearch Limited full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Excellent in house training
    -Company rewards for success
    -Friendly team, everyone is helpful
    -Regular social events
-Free Breakfast + unlimited tea and coffee!!

    Cons

I honestly have not got a concern, maybe be able to break lunch for smokers? like 5 mins for one in the morning and one in the afternoon, only quick ones.
However that is small because I would highly recommend working for a company like Skillsearch.

    Advice to Management

Carry up supporting the team like you do maybe a team meeting for 10 mins to catch up mid week when available?

I have been working at Skillsearch Limited full-time

    Pros

The earning potential in this company is great, and the training and support provided is bespoke and tailored to your needs. Each member of staff has the autonomy to work how they feel is best, and there is a great team ethos!

    Cons

The only cons I can think of is the lack of office music / radio / sonos, and that there is no break room.

    Advice to Management

It would be great to have music in the office, and invest in an area to have lunch away from your desk.

    Pros

    Good atmosphere.
    Good training.
    Good commission for best performers.

    Cons

The bosses were quite stuck in their ways and a bit too stubborn to change their old fashioned outlook. All of the comments here are asking for a relaxed dress code (I guess jeans instead of trousers would probably work as they never have clients there) but the management has so little trust in their staff that they think it will create a culture of unprofessional-ism. They say they want to be modern but as soon as things challenge the dated office norm of dress code, radio, flexible hours, Friday beers becoming standard the management make excuses. They still force everybody to be on the phones too often, for me that got in the way of other things I would be to get far more and better responses. It's the same for most (not all) there depending on which desk they run.

    Advice to Management

Do things you expect from others. I never saw managers stay late whilst I was expected to. Perhaps they should get on the phones and resource some candidates for a week to prove to the staff how it's done? If you can get some interviews then perhaps people will get behind you. I don't think you will and will see why people don't as much as you like. I'm not sure if this has changed or not but when I was there the management weren't even assigned to kitchen days either.

OK I think the title of the comment here is a little misleading as the 4 star response is a positive one with a few tweaks.

Regarding the dress code - we have monthly charity dress downs and... More

I have been working at Skillsearch Limited full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Fantastic training on offer
    - Great commission structure
    - Friendly team - makes the day go quicker!
    - Clear career progression
    - Duvet days - Great idea, more companies should have these!

    Cons

    - More incentives would be nice
-There needs to be a break out area
    - A little strict on the dress code - relax it a little!
    - Not flexible on working hours

    Advice to Management

    - Be more flexible with working hours - if you stay late, come in later the next day! Maybe even an earlier finish on a Friday?!
    - Relax the dress code.. Dress down EVERY Friday instead of once a month
    - More incentives arranged

    Skillsearch Limited Response

OK we'll see what we can do. Are there any specific incentives that you have in mind??

  11. "Not a bad place to work at all, however a little more thought for the staff would go a long way"

I have been working at Skillsearch Limited full-time

    Pros

    Good level of training offered
    Patient and understanding management
    No micro-management
Good incentives (once threshold is exceeded)
    Friendly environment

    Cons

There is a threshold to exceed before you get any commission
    No flexible working hours
No casual dress code (clients very rarely visit the office)
More could be done on an ongoing basis to show staff appreciation
I don't think that finishing a little earlier than 5:30 on a Friday is unreasonable

    Advice to Management

I feel that giving the workforce 'an inch', either in terms of more flexible working hours or relaxed dress code or generally more to show appreciation of staff (one way or another) would ultimately result in a happier and more productive team.
