I have been working at Sky full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Where should I start? Firstly I'm in the Osterley office in London. Yes, it's not exactly central London, but it's a great place to spend your working day. From all the food options, gym, cinema etc there's plenty to keep you happy here. The people here are great - determined and want to do good. It's fast paced, so if you prefer a slow and quiet role it might not be for you. The work we do is high quality, and I'm proud of what we put out - that then is backed up by manager feedback and overall company performance. There's always something new on the horizon, and 2020 seems like it's going to be BIG.

    Cons

As mentioned, office location is a pain to get to and it's not really near anything (Tesco and Homebase). It's a big company, so it can feel as if you're just a tiny part at times. Feedback wider than for your team or particular working area or function doesn't seem as though it's always heard.

I worked at Sky full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great Benefits - Great Facilities - Subsidised Gym - Decent Pension Scheme - Subsidised High Quality On Campus Restaurants - Fully Working Cinema with daily shows - Work/Life Balance - Ability to work from home - Hands off approach from management - A lot of drive and emphasis on Multiculturalism with quite a few cultural events hosted per year - Family days during summer and Christmas. - Food Trucks during summer -Lots of giveaways

    Cons

    - Out of way location makes it difficult to build relationships with co-workers as the culture at work is very much get in, do the job, go home. Great for family workers, bad for young solo Londoners wanting to meet new people. - Relatively lower salaries for London due to subsidised onsite food. - Dependent on the size of your department it can be difficult to progress. - Very slow corporate culture, takes a long time to action anything as there is a heavy amount of procedure involved.
