Pros

Great place to work with old management from 2017 and prior

Cons

Very stressful, no appreciation, no pay raises but in $160 million dollar new building, very violent president Rich Clair, screams at people every day and throws tantrum throwing items at people, no longer team company, everyone afraid to speak or get yelled at by Rich. Rich thinks he knows it all but is 90% of the time wrong. Doesn't know trucking at all and brags to everyone how smart he is all day but he is really an idiot. They expect you to work 24/7 and no family time even for children's events. Rich tells you no you can't leave early to attend a children's event.

Pros

Three years ago i would have had plenty of pros.

Cons

I have worked for Solar over 5 years. When i started i was told by management, coworkers and friends that the company was thriving with plenty of advancement opportunities. After giving it my all day in and day out rarely missing work. I quickly found out that it is not the case and there was no advancement opportunities, you were stuck in the day to day slug where you are not appreciated. Solar Transport has some of the worse equipment in the trucking industry. They are very unreliable and fleet management is not given the equipment to perform the job duties. I would never recommend this job to anyone. Stay away!

Your comment concerning equipment is completely unfounded. The average age of equipment is 3.5 years. This is by no means even close to being worse equipment in the industry. Additionally there are advancement opportunities and they are based on performance.

Thank you for the feedback. We routinely evaluate pay to make sure that we are competitive with the market. We just announced that we will be paying Hourly pay in Colorado as a result of the feedback we received from drivers. This will lead to an increase in pay for our drivers!
