I have been working at Southern Housing Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A real drive to achieve and an organisation that is going places. I've worked here for a over six years and I love it. The people are great and the senior leadership are approachable and friendly - there's a clear vision for where the Group is aiming to be. It's been a supportive place to work through the Covid-19 pandemic and working from home has been managed well. Would definitely recommend it.

    Cons

Some of the systems and processes are going through changes and in some areas resources are running to catch up but this is being addressed. The Group is working hard to put right things that need updating.

I have been working at Southern Housing Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

CEO has great believe to change the company Nice people to work with

    Cons

Agile working only applies to managers Managers are back dated with idea of micromanagement You would see the managers, head and director abuse of working from home but they won’t allow employees If you have children then it’s difficult with work life balance Constant restructuring

I have been working at Southern Housing Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some really lovely people that work at the group, some teams are very helpful and truly believe in the organisation and what they do

    Cons

A very chaotic and stressful culture at times with a last minute and getting things done just in time approach. Always under pressure in one way or the other Some senior managers, heads of and directors are questionable at best. Clear favouritism with regards to internal promotions. A different area of the business restructures every month.

I have been working at Southern Housing Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good group with a strong social purpose and an exciting future ahead. New executive team looking to build on the core values of the organisation and introduce modern ways and systems of achieving its social purpose. Atmosphere is relaxed but diligent with professionals that are skilled and care. Offices are modern and well located. Flexible working on offer and good benefits. Role and remit of the organisation is ingrained in everyone and you can buy in to it and your purpose very quickly. People are relaxed and treat each other with plenty of respect

    Cons

Organisation is at the start of a journey therefore some systems are a little out of date currently Induction for new starters is weak Facilities for staff in the offices while modern are a bit spartan
