Pros
As far as Research is concerned, the company has strong focus towards it. The labs are good and well equipped. The work force and the environment at labs is enriched with tons of ideas and innovative concepts floating around. People are friendly and helpful.
Cons
None Except a few Glitches. Research Interns are tried to be controlled and Manipulated as per their Expectations, without understanding the downside and limitations of technical aspects. Even when my Academic Supervisor was way more than impressed with my work at technical level and considered the findings at par with publication work, the management at Spirax-Sarco were not satisfied , as they wanted more commercial oriented results. I wish I could explain "There is a difference between research development and product development".

Pros
Technical department engineers and some of sales engineers are really good. Really relaxing job.
Cons
Management is fully under control of Spirax-Sarco headquarters, zero degrees of freedom in decisions. Moreover, managers are acting like they are gods among the common employees. IT support and collaboration with main IT department is bad due to lack of competency from the Spirax-Sacro head IT department. Zero growth as a specialist, no challenges in work.
