I worked at St. James's Place Wealth Management for less than a year

    Pros

Welcoming and open culture where the desire to improve the individual is at the fore. Moreover, everyone always has the time for you no matter where they sit within the company. In addition to this, the employees are driven and inspiring. Furthermore, for the short duration of my time at SJP the work life balance was great. Also, there is a great sense of interconnectedness of the business where many departments are interdependent. This is good as I was exposed to many different people and areas of SJP.

    Cons

The location of the head office.

I worked at St. James's Place Wealth Management for less than a year

    Pros

Good opportunities to learn about the wealth management industry. Friendly culture with staff extremely willing to help and guide interns. Sociable hours with no expectations to stay late to impress. The work was not very strenuous or testing (could be pro or con) on a daily basis, however, I did learn a lot about the industry over the 2 month period.

    Cons

Quality of the internship varied hugely depending on which department you were placed (investment had many more opportunities and activities outside of the normal day-to-day work). Location is not ideal for everyone. Quite a few of the interns seemed to have family or close family friends within the company although this was a minority. No direct route into grad role, only skip to AC.

I have been working at St. James's Place Wealth Management for less than a year

    Pros

Quite and relax environment. I stayed there only for three months. People are good, polite and kind. Customers are as well.

    Cons

Maybe too relax. Is good if you want to be a financial advisor. You can learn all about financial products but no so many about asset allocation doing by investment board.

I worked at St. James's Place Wealth Management for less than a year

    Pros

Amazing company with great opportunities to learn more and explore more about the financial field while demonstrating what you can add to financial planning

    Cons

Very difficult for new hires to become partners and demonstrate to a high wealth clientele that they should be the ones managing their money
