I have been working at Stanley Black & Decker full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is not much to be said in terms of benefits for this company. I work in the UK headquarters of Slough. We get free klix machine drinks, heating and a parking space.

    Cons

A male oriented workplace, the majority of the senior roles are held by Men. There are stock terms all management use such as “over arching” , saying “right” at the end of a sentence. Complete lack of originality everyone copies each other. In the UK the top level management are arrogant, very chummy and look down on lower level departments, never interacting or speaking to them. The brands might be strong but... I see the lack of creative thinking and bland ideas in marketing to be a downfall long term. There are also no pay rises this year but we’re expected to have an increased workload and just be grateful. There is an edible feeling of contempt in the air, it feels quite toxic at the moment.
