I worked at Starcom MediaVest Group full-time

    Pros

    Exciting & innovative campaign work

    Cons

Bullying from senior management that needs to be addressed to stop such a high staff turnover. Overtime work is highly encouraged, which is not healthy for a life-work balance.

    Pros

Nothing, literally nothing unless you have never been at a big company before. If you have then nothing honestly.

    Cons

Horrible blame culture To progress you need to suck up on people with no knowledge or value The data they give to the clients is 90% fabricated, it is a disgrace honestly They made the employees go to the office the day of the snow storm. No working from home is allowed. Hot desking so you don't have your own desk and everything is dirty You are told off suddenly without 1 to 1s or warning or even your boss pointing out the areas you could improve. Your opinion is not valued unless you are par of the inner circle. The majority of people working there come from small agencies with no data experience hence the end result offered to the client is of lowe quality as they do not have the experience of having vast resources and leveraging data. -Horrible just horrible and disorganised overall. Horrible people, horrible culture. Happy to have resigned.

I worked at Starcom MediaVest Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are many social events you are encouraged to attend and it is a relatively youthful group - approx. 65% of team is under 30.

    Cons

Poorly organised, people are promoted on basis of time spent at the company rather than ability, poor pay for amount of hours and very little personal one-on-one support.

    Advice to Management

To completely change how they treat execs and senior execs, they treat them as disposable and then are shocked when people leave as often as they do. They need to invest in training as when you arrive you are often trained by another exec who has less than 6 months experience. Instead they should set aside time to properly train people. They need to take more time to support their account execs and pay attention to whether or not they are enjoying the job.
