    Pros

Inclusive, happy, creative, fun, open. An all-round lovely place to work.

    Cons

Slightly inflexible and sometimes reluctant to change and adapt.

    Advice to Management

Stay open to possibilities and input

I worked at Start JudgeGill full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coffee machine. Work space, but only aesthetically. The vibes sucks.

    Cons

People management (is awful) 0 taste of design, they live in the past. All the people who are in senior positions are arrogant and ignorance, they try to look like teamwork but they are all fake.

I worked at Start JudgeGill full-time

    Pros

The majority of staff (not the owners) are a pleasure to work with, and frankly some deserve a medal for surviving there. If you are more junior and don't have to deal with the owners you tend to have a better experience and some good projects.

    Cons

It's a small industry and there is a lot of bad news floating around about Start from disgruntled ex-suppliers and employees. The three owners have created a toxic environment. (see numerous previous reviews on Glassdoor) There is a terrible culture of aggression and moodiness and the owners seem to think it is acceptable to be rude and bully employees publically and over email. They have been in their own bubble for...

    Advice to Management

Owners, you are very intelligent, creative men who have created some fantastic work in the past, but if you want Start to survive you have to do some work on yourselves. You can all be nice, but the bad behaviour erodes respect in employees. Yes, you are under pressure, but you'll never move forward behaving like this. Use your HR team and listen to your Senior team to get some guidance and what is/is not acceptable...

I have been working at Start JudgeGill full-time

    Pros

Great new concept. Different approach doing really interesting work.

    Cons

Need to get more solid full timers as some freelancers are not so reliable.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I worked at Start JudgeGill full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The coffee was the best part of my experience. The new strategy and direction for the business is a great concept. But the foundations of the business need building up first.

    Cons

Excessive hours. No culture. No incentive for people to pitch in and help.

    Advice to Management

Fix your culture. Be clear on the work you’re pitching for and make sure you are set up to handle it. Resource properly.

    Pros

Great variety of projects working with some very smart people. A forward-thinking agency doing some fantastic strategically-led work. An exciting place to be a part of.

    Cons

DJ has bad taste in music. Coffee is pretty poor too. Perception from the outside that the agency isn’t know for anything.

I have been working at Start JudgeGill full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There's a new team in place which is committed to change and creating an exciting future for everyone. There are lots of exciting projects underway, with new clients and business coming on board and brilliant new talent joining the Start team. A lot of the basics are being fixed, new training programmes instigated along with a clear structure and a renewed sense of purpose emerging. Great studio too.

    Cons

Ignore the legacy issues reflected in some of the reviews. This place is changing.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening and keep supporting the great talent in the business
