I worked at State Street full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Ability to move offices and live abroad. Excellent manager of my department.

    Cons

Inflexibility of part time work or job sharing won’t help the male dominated, misogynistic environment in the London office.

    Advice to Management

Consider job sharing or part time flexible working for new parents. The ethos of SS is to have a work life balance, this needs to be filtered down to all departments.

I worked at State Street part-time for more than 10 years

        Pros

Plenty of opportunities for management to give associates and junior managers a good kicking

        Cons

Cutting costs is the only game in the company. Experienced staff are used to train mainly offshored staff (usually India) before making them redundant. High attrition rates in in India (HCL and SSSS) means State Street loses both experienced staff and the newly trained, as they don't wait around to train their successors.
