    I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time

    Pros

    * Some talented people * Lots of opportunities to try new things * Opportunity to progress quickly if your work is appreciated

    Cons

    * Long hours * Younger people paid very poorly * Aggressive, confrontational culture

    Advice to Management

End the boys' club culture. Hire more staff so people don't have to work to the point of exhaustion. Pay people what they're worth

    I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time

    Pros

Professional environment, but equally a little more relaxed than other agencies. Dedicated co-workers

    Cons

Environment can be cliquey, and sometimes management feels a little out of touch. The work hours are often long, but this is to be expected

    Pros

    Nice account team and MD.

    Cons

    Creatives are a different breed!

    Advice to Management

A flatter structure where people are promoted and not blocked by 'senior' versions of themselves.

I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Got good benefits. Summer time. Nice building.

    Cons

For starters you won't ever use the summer time because the account team are too busy being under resourced and doing a million projects that doesn't have enough qc, these then slip through the cracks, and everyone tries to take the blame away from themselves, instead of just admitting responsibility. You have to work when you are sick and when you're on annual leave, so there's no point even taking these days off,... because you're made to feel guilty about it. The working hours are ridiculous and you do not get paid for overtime and you do not get any time in lieu for it, but you're expected to be in the office and on email before and after contracted hours. My manager once told me that we don't have lunch breaks at this company....There isn't enough time for training on how the process works because you're expected to get right on a handful of projects two days after joining, and then when you obviously make a few errors the blame is simply placed upon you. If you don't want any type of life, this company is for you. If you want to have a life, quit. The work culture at sudler is definetely against the human rights act. Period.

    Advice to Management

Don't just pour your workload onto the people you are managing and then sit on your phone! Please have the RIGHT number of people working on each team for each brand. Don't be cheap.

    I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time

    Pros

S&H once was leading creative agency actively partnering its clients , working to get results. Encouraging talent enabled the company to grow to dominate the field of healthcare comms.

    Cons

S&H now is driven by bottom line results and bonuses, so it's a bullying battle of egos. Don't even come close to this toxic workplace.

    Advice to Management

    Retire!

I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good salary and the other people in the business. There is a good social network and they try to have a good ‘atmosphere’

    Cons

No understanding of how to motivate and develop people. All about profit and ‘billable’ hours. Not enough staff to do the work they want done. They win contracts by committing to things without putting resources into delivering and expect everyone to work long hours just to maintain high margins

    I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time

    Pros

Some good people, smart and kind who made some days bearable Weekly socials

    Cons

Unfortunately these range all the way from HR (lack of), appalling IT 'support' and total absence of induction/training through to disconnected team structures and erratic leadership which seemed to change from one project to the next. Straight forward tasks routinely became chaotic very quickly and were often unnecessarily stressful due to haphazard decisions made by middle management, or more junior employees... doing their best but not having the experience for the position they had no choice but to take on. It should never be the case that 'small cogs' appear to care more about doing a good job than middle management, who are undoubtedly earning far more than their talent justifies. A clown show that will leave you drained in a matter of weeks.

    I worked at Sudler & Hennessey full-time

    Pros

Exposure to large clients (maybe...), might get some interesting work. if this is your first job and you survive, it might give you an entry into this industry.

    Cons

Disorganized, driven by a select few account people with little substance, no career perspectives, favoritism, waste of talent.. do not work here if you have any significant experience or expertise that you think you can use...

    Advice to Management

Retire and leave room for new blood with new ideas to slave drive the place. Do not hire qualified people if you will waste their time and give them no initiatives
