    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Sullivan & Cromwell full-time

    Pros

Great training, great name, great work. Lots of opportunity to work on high-level issues even as a junior. Generally on unique/interesting matters - very little cookie cutter work

    Cons

Culture can be stuffy and elitist. Opaqueness around partnership and promotion; unlikely to be made up. Generalist practice means limited control over type of work.

I have been working at Sullivan & Cromwell full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great pay. Mixed experiences with partners, but have been lucky to have good mentors.

    Cons

Staffing is hit or miss and if you are not a super start you tend to get passed over for plum assignments. Don't feel like I've learned as much as I should or could. I won't be making partner, but also have no fear of being pushed out.
