I have been working at Superdry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good 50% staff discount, hour long lunch, uniform allowance every couple of months. most of the staff are friendly and holidays are standard.

    Cons

Managers do no work most of the time and when they do they do it wrong and ask you to sort it out. If you make a mistake, especially on tills even if it does not really affect anything, expect disciplinary action.

    Advice to Management

Be a leader not a boss, you can only motivate people to work if you are setting an example, most managers stand around on their phones or sit on the tills all day.

I worked at Superdry (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Employee Discount
    Nice working atmosphere
You also get a lot of training. The REAL program is designed to improve all your skills across the board and is quite good

    Cons

Progression can be difficult depending on where you are working. Managers have a habit of now changing your contract to suit them before informing or asking you

    Advice to Management

Would be better to confer with employees before spontaneously changing contracts. Some managers push targets without taking into account the current days climate

    Pros

Some really nice colleagues, staff discount (except superdry brand is tainted for reasons explained under "cons

    Cons

Management: Favouritism, bullying, subtle bullying, underhandedness, gossiping, passive aggressiveness, tendency to reward suck ups over people who genuinely work well. Unapproachable. Unavailable to discuss staff problems and overly willing to give out, make accusations and punish for no reason. On many occasions I have witnessed people being abused for no reason while those in the clique get away with anything. Hate to say it but Superdry Dublin is made up of a bully/suck up clique and the rest of us who do actual work and make the place nice and friendly for customers. All the while putting up with niggling petty management, "management" and want to be management/ suck ups/bullies. Luckily the nice workers are smart and employable while the clique can only form into little "mean girls" (that includes some of the "boys") groups and force people to put up with crap or quit.

    Advice to Management

Don't think that those there the longest are necessarily helpful. They push out the good staff while making it seem like they are holding things together. They are entrenched and give Superdry brand a bad name.I Haven't said a good word about Superdry in a long time.

I have been working at Superdry full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fun and friendly environment.
50% off discount and generous uniform allowance twice a year.
Play games in brief before each shift
Ample training (sales, health and safety etc)
    Really fun and friendly atmosphere
    Great likeminded colleagues
    Managers are really friendly/ understanding
You get a lot of recognition when you do a good job I.e. Stamp cards for Superdry money, managers always thank you when you do a good job etc
Frequent reviews of your work so you know where you're at and where you can improve
It's clear from top down the business emphasises the wellbeing and professional development of their staff. It's very very cool and I've found rare in the retail world

    Cons

Not really any cons, maybe monthly pay is hard but something you adjust to.

    Advice to Management

    Stay awesome
