I have been working at Superdry full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very generous holiday allowances, staff discounts and uniform allowances
Open lines of communication from the very top all the way down the chain. Excellent internal “social media” platform to share success and information with other stores/ people in the business all over the world. Fantastic way for anyone in the company to feel connected, and part of something bigger.
Career breaks are welcomed, to encourage a fair work/ life balance.
A big backer of gender equality across all leadership roles.
Core brand values very much cantered around its people, and getting the best out of everyone. Good training tools in store to keep up to date with product, and business changes.
Affiliation with Invictus games this year, giving employees something to be proud of
Work at all levels with The Princes Trust.

    Cons

As with all retail environments, unsociable hours/ weekends/ Christmas periods are key trading dates, so be flexible with working.
All channels not always 100% connected. E.g. in store promos/ kiosk/ website. Can sometimes make for a poor customer experience
Strategy can change at the drop of a hat. If something isn’t working. Can be a confusing message to relay to in store teams. Certainly could hold their nerve a little longer.
Sales assistant pay is well above average with excellent benefits, however is a little rigid with management. Retail is a low payed environment, however with no wiggleroom, what’s the incentive to stay?
