I have been working at Superdry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a very fun environment with great people working as a team
Big discount of 50%, even on top of uniform allowance
Uniform allowance depending on how many hours you work (I work 10 and get £150)
Nice management who listen to your concerns and who encourage you to work

    Cons

Some members of management are very unorganized
Odd regular worker will try to act as they are management and try to boss you around
Standards take long to do and are expected to be done perfectly - hard for those who close at the end of the day

    Advice to Management

Don't allow regular workers to tell others what to do, Be more organised in terms of designating rotas, Give extra hours to current workers who want it instead of hiring new people

I worked at Superdry full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Superdry continues to rapidly grow and with this provides plenty of opportunity and challenges for employees. Although the product is key to the business and heritage, the people are amazing to work with. Cool and exciting brand to work for.

    Cons

Salary pay is poor for low to midweight level employees. Plenty of employees who have worked with the business since the start who shouldn't be in senior management.

    Advice to Management

Look after your staff and realise their potential.

    Pros

-50% staff discount + uniform allowance twice a year
good salary for sales assistant (7.20)
    5-hour shifts if you're working part-time
they do give a chance to everyone, even if you don't have a relevant previous job experience
    good music
    good experience

    Cons

management style - managers carry out individual incentives which destroys any sense of teamwork between the coworkers. employees will leave their zone in order to accompany "their" customer to the changing rooms, the tills etc in order to secure "their" sale when they're simply supposed to pass on to the next coworker to avoid disrupting the organization. managers will also push you to constantly ask the customers if they need help, can be annoying for them and awkward for you when 2, 3, 4 SAs have already gone up to them on their way to your area of the store...
music is suuuper loud you can barely understand what the stock room is saying on the radio
they don't have real security - it's up to the employees to watch out for shoplifters, listen to the police radio and stand in front of the store doors which can get very boring

    Pros

    Staff discount
    Friends and Family discount
    Flexible working hours
    Friendly and supportive management
    Get along well with co-workers
    Good music

    Cons

Some days can drag on if there is no one in the store
Music, while good can sometimes get repetitive
Have to always remain behind after store closes, even if the shop floor is tidy

    Advice to Management

Make the final half hour or hour after the store closes a flexible working time. So if there is nothing to do on the shop floor the staff can elect to leave earlier if they want (provided everyone agrees) and they won't be paid for that amount of time they have left early for. I don't know if there is any legal obstruction this, just a thought on my part.
