I have been working at Superdry part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great place to work, management very friendly towards everyone like to get to know you. Lots of nights out/ celebrations paid by the company if our store wins a competition within our region. clothing allowance for summer and winter works out £150-200 free clothing to wear as uniform in the store.

    Cons

If working part-time if is hard to work your way up the benefits ladder to get a pay rise due to management hardly seeing you.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps make it easier for part-timers to get to the pay rise level.

I worked at Superdry part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Generous Staff Discount (50%)
Flexible rotas, which are perfect for students
     Decent Pay

    Cons

Very very boring job for sales assistants. I worked as a summer temp (Sheffield, Meadowhall) for around 4 months and hated every second from my job role to the management to my work colleagues. Very shady colleagues who will snake you out to management at every given opportunity. Felt very bullied and segregated due to my ethnicity. Senior management and Supervisors talking down to regular sales assistants. We were expected to tidy the shop floor from top to bottom in the space of half an hour after shop closing time. Was constantly leaving late after being "forgotten about" by management, and even then had to ask to leave 10-15 minutes later. Very very very unorganised shop floor due to senior management mostly sitting in the back on their mobile phones while us sales assistants are expected to hold the fort for 5-6 hours on end. Very dull jobs such as being left on fitting rooms for 4/5 hours straight. If asked to rotate would mostly be refused. Felt talked about amongst other staff members.

    Advice to Management

Organise shop floor instead of leaving us on the same section for hours on end! if we all rotated workstations regularly jobs may get done quicker. Management should actually do their job instead of sitting in back room on their smartphones.

    Pros

-50% staff discount + uniform allowance twice a year
good salary for sales assistant (7.20)
    5-hour shifts if you're working part-time
they do give a chance to everyone, even if you don't have a relevant previous job experience
    good music
    good experience

    Cons

management style - managers carry out individual incentives which destroys any sense of teamwork between the coworkers. employees will leave their zone in order to accompany "their" customer to the changing rooms, the tills etc in order to secure "their" sale when they're simply supposed to pass on to the next coworker to avoid disrupting the organization. managers will also push you to constantly ask the customers if they need help, can be annoying for them and awkward for you when 2, 3, 4 SAs have already gone up to them on their way to your area of the store...
music is suuuper loud you can barely understand what the stock room is saying on the radio
they don't have real security - it's up to the employees to watch out for shoplifters, listen to the police radio and stand in front of the store doors which can get very boring
