I have been working at Superdry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff is amazing, family like work conditions, interesting customers, amazing discount, allowance for uniform.

    Cons

Very slim and difficult place to grow.

    Advice to Management

Delegate better, exercising authority is important but meaningless if it isn't consistent, or does not make any sense. We're all adults from different retail backgrounds. Understand that other's only speak their input to better the working environment, never to challenge authority.

I worked at Superdry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great fellow sales associates, great learning experience, lots of freedom with dress code, free clothing, employee discount

    Cons

-Stylists are not allowed phones, food or drinks on the sales floor, and yet somehow the managers are allowed to make (loud) personal calls in front of customers.
-Often, the managers will be doing non-work related activities in the back room (i.e. homework, phone calls, watching videos), as stylists work to form relationships with customers in the store.
-The managers completely disregard their own sales goals, all the while cutting hours of stylists who are not staying "up to par" on their sales. Sometimes, certain mangers will ring up the sales of other employees as their own.
-Basically, the managers will be occasionally busy with SuperDry related issues; for the most part, they uphold their sales associates to standards that they themselves do not adhere to.

    Advice to Management

Equalize the reinforcement of rules between stylists and managers

I worked at Superdry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When I worked there, stylists, which is basically a sales associate, were given 3 free pieces of clothing per season and 50% discount on old items.

    Cons

Corporate was going through a transformation, supposedly, and kept changing the policies on the retail employees. It was obvious that nobody in corporate knew what they were doing. When I first started working here, the place had a very laid back environment. By the time I left, there were so many new rules and restrictions. Many of the retail employees were extremely upset working here and even called HR numerous times to report a discriminating manager who barely even worked.

    Advice to Management

There seemed to be a lack of any communication in this company. I recently visited the location and it seems that the buyers are still sending a huge surplus of inventory to the very space limited store. Listen to the retail employees - the face of your brand.
